Frequently asked questions

FAQ.

The questions our clients ask most often, grouped by topic. If something is missing: get in touch.

Ordering

How do I place an order with Rompe Design?+

Simply send us a no-obligation enquiry — via the contact form, by email to info@rompe.de or by phone on +49 (0) 2424 20070. We take care of your enquiry straight away and prepare a concrete quotation with prices, sizes and delivery times. As Rompe Design supplies business clients only, please let us know your company name.

Can I order for several employees in a single order?+

Yes — that is our everyday business. Just tell us the item and size for each employee, ideally as a simple list. We prepare the quotation and delivery so that distributing the garments within your company is done in no time.

Is there a minimum order value?+

There is no fixed minimum order value for stock items from the Everyone collection — single items are particularly useful for sampling or size testing. Individual production runs start at 11 pieces per style. Shipping costs are shown transparently in the quotation.

What volume discounts are available?+

Prices for larger quantities are open to individual negotiation — just get in touch. Fixed framework terms are agreed individually and in confidence.

Can I receive samples in advance?+

Samples belong to our individual line of business: before series production begins, samples are made in our atelier so you can check fit and overall effect on your actual team and give your approval — a fixed part of every individual project. Items from the Everyone collection can be ordered individually in advance and reviewed at your leisure.

Payment

Which payment methods are accepted?+

You can purchase outright or, for larger outfittings, finance via leasing or hire purchase — we arrange suitable models through established partners. New clients pay 50% on order confirmation and 50% on delivery; smaller orders are handled by payment in advance for simplicity. Existing clients order on invoice at individually agreed terms. We clarify the details directly in the quotation.

Can I order on account?+

Yes, once an established business relationship is in place — invoicing for existing clients is agreed individually. In special cases, such as public-sector clients, we look into separate arrangements.

Delivery

How long does delivery take?+

Stock items from the Everyone collection are delivered at short notice — usually within one to two weeks. With logo finishing, allow around 5 to 10 additional working days after final approval of logo and placement. Individual production requires considerably more lead time depending on the project (approx. 8–10 weeks from approval).

Do you deliver abroad?+

We deliver throughout the EU as well as to Switzerland and the United Kingdom — worldwide delivery is available on request. For larger orders we organise consolidated shipments, freight forwarding or coordinated deliveries to several sites.

Can you supply several sites?+

Yes. Multi-site logistics is one of our key services: separate delivery addresses, clear assignment by site, reorders, size exchanges and, optionally, digital processes for a better day-to-day overview.

Finishing

Can you put our logo on the garments?+

Yes. We offer embroidery, print and, for individual collections, all-over fabric print. Which method makes sense depends on the item, the logo, the quantity, laundering demands and the desired effect.

How much does logo finishing cost?+

The cost depends on the logo, its size and placement, the item and the quantity. For a concrete estimate we need your logo file, the desired items, the quantity and the intended position of the finishing.

Sizes

Which sizes are available?+

The Everyone collection covers a wide size range in regular women's and men's ready-to-wear sizes, and depending on the style also in different lengths. We are happy to provide the relevant size charts.

How do I find the right size?+

Just ask us for the official size charts — we are happy to provide them. When preparing your quotation we double-check your size information and, in case of doubt, recommend samples or size sets for testing within your team — so the initial outfitting arrives with a precise fit. When a complete new collection is delivered, we additionally support you with the dressing-in on site on request (as a bookable service).

What is the difference between Slim Fit, Tailored Fit and Regular Fit?+

Slim Fit sits closer to the body and looks modern. Tailored Fit is lightly shaped at the waist and, for many front-of-house roles, the balanced standard choice. Regular Fit offers more freedom of movement and suits teams with very different body shapes or more physically active roles.

What happens if the size does not fit?+

Unfinished stock items can be exchanged for another size within 14 days of receipt, provided the garments are unworn and in their original packaging. A general right to return orders is excluded; for logo-finished or individually produced items, size exchange is also excluded unless there is a defect. For larger teams we therefore recommend sampling or size sets in advance.

Individual outfitting

From what team size is an individual line worthwhile?+

A fully individual line usually pays off from around 100 employees — from around 50 it can make sense, and production starts at 11 pieces per style. Below that, we combine flexibly: individually produced key pieces plus the Everyone collection with matching finishing.

What does an individual project line include?+

We develop a complete clothing concept: roles and areas of use, colour world, silhouettes, product groups, samples, finishing, budget planning, production, delivery, reordering and, on request, digital processes for sites and employee allowances.

Advice

How does the consultation work?+

Send an enquiry via the contact form or simply call us. It is quickest if you include the key facts right away: industry, team size, desired items, colours, finishing, timeline, sites and any special requirements. We take care of your enquiry straight away.

Will I have a dedicated contact person?+

Yes. Rompe Design works personally and for the long term. From your very first enquiry you have one dedicated contact who accompanies selection, quotation, reorders and special requests.

About Rompe

How long has Rompe Design been around?+

Rompe Design was founded in 1985 by Susanne Rompe and grew over the decades into a specialist for representative workwear. Today the company's ongoing development — digitalisation and new services in particular — is driven largely by Max Rompe.

What is the Everyone collection?+

The Everyone collection is our modern standard collection from stock: representative workwear in black, anthracite and navy — suit jackets, blazers, dresses, skirts, waistcoats and suit trousers in elastic one-way stretch fabric (69% recycled polyester, 29% viscose, 2% elastane). It is complemented by chinos in seven combinable colours plus shirts and blouses in our own easy-care qualities — including styles with a modern stand-up collar. Everything is quickly available, easy to reorder and ideal for teams that want to look professional.
