What Rompe stands for
Workwear has never been a sideline here.
Since 1985, Rompe Design has been working on one question: how can teams look professional, feel comfortable and appear as one? Classic corporate fashion has grown into a system in which consulting, selection, finishing, sizing, reordering and logistics all work hand in hand.
We specialise in hotels and hospitality — from front desk to service, banqueting and kitchen — as well as catering, staffing providers and service teams of every kind. And in something you only notice once the garments are worn: wearer-friendly cuts and materials that move with you, so your staff genuinely enjoy working in them. A polished appearance only works when the team feels comfortable in it — and that comfort is something your guests notice too. Incidentally, anyone who needs representative workwear is welcome to buy from us.

Susanne Rompe founded Rompe Design in 1985. She shaped the company's history and character, but is no longer involved in day-to-day operations.

The site near Cologne creates room for the atelier, sample making and warehouse — this is where designs, samples and alterations are made.
Johannes Viethen
Johannes Viethen becomes the face of Rompe Design — visiting clients in person for over 30 years, from the first appointment through to delivery.
A single-source system
Warehousing, finishing, size exchange, multi-site logistics and financing models become part of the offering.

Our location

More than 1,500 square metres, one roof, short distances: at the front the office with the people who personally look after our clients’ needs, behind it design development and the sample atelier, next to it part of our warehouse. From the first sketch to the packed box, much of it happens in the same building — which is why nothing gets lost here and most things move faster. Visits? Gladly, by appointment.
